A Norwegian user group for Ruby has been created at NorwayRug. This user group will promote the use of Ruby among programmers in Norway, and the group will exchange scripts, experiences, software and documentation. Everything which will further the acceptance of Ruby in Norway will be of interest on the groups mailing list.

Ruby is a programming language written by Yukihiro Matsumoto, a Japanese national. It is often compared to Python and Perl because of and is an object oriented scripting language suitable for many uses.

The focus of the language is to make it intuitive, powerful and fun to program with. More details can be found at the main page of the language.

Ruby is a language which is growing fast on both Windows and Linux and it has a very active user group wolrdwide.
