About zez

We are not Updating Often Enough

That's your verdict in a recent poll. Well, since zez.org is a project fueled by blood, sweat and tears, and not money, that's a bit hard to swallow.

zez.org should be updated at least
You're right of course, we should try to keep our publishing rate up, most of you think we should keep it to at least something new every day.

That's hard for a gang of people doing more than a days work in their day jobs. We just have to turn back to you and ask for submissions. We will gladly give you ideas for articles we'd like to see, if you're technically minded but don't know what you could write about.

At the moment it seems that the best we can do is once a week, which would satisfy only 29% of you.

We're looking forward to your responses, your submissions, and your ideas, as always.

I would like to volunteer my time. I would love to provide content for your site. The Internet community has provided me with so much info that I am deeply grateful and would like to give something back.

An article a day would be best. That would be enough to attract people back every day. I guess pretty much all of us has a small list of sites we visit every day, such as your local (non-nerd) news, slashdot, freshmeat, and what have you.
A daily update of zez might get the site into this short list I think many people have.

Although not a remedy, and I don't know if this conflicts with zez's philosophy, how about polling news from carefully selected like-minded sites? I can think of advogato.org and dotcomma.org. You could squeeze in a box on the right below the poll.

Thanks for the idea, Marius, we will do it as soon as we get the new version of eZ publish up here.
