Today we have finished article comments, just as you are used to finding at many other sites.

You'll find a button below the article which will let you post your views.

At the moment the threading isn't very obvious, but it is stored there. When we find a nice layout which isn't to dependent on tables, we will use that to show the article threading.

Since the layout of Zez looks so similar to Slashdot (I hope that's viewed as a good thing), why not simply use Slashdot's code

It's a bit bulky and slow :)
You have to be a perl guru to run and maintain it
It requires crontab access
It has been done :)

Slashdot's code is in Perl. It relies heavily on crontab jobs to do background work.

Our code is in PHP, it is engineered from the bottom following common object oriented methodology.

We do more checks and managing at posting time (ie. when the client expects a bit slowness), thus avoiding the need for crontab entries.

Our code is also pretty easy to install.

:)

When I noticed the "eZ publish" icon, I meant to abort this last message, but it didn't abort.

Really!
It posts the message, even when you WANT to abort it.
I wanted to abort my smartass comments about slash and here it is - posted... (to my shame).

That was a bug. It's fixed now.
